Driving

Toyota markets the 2020 4Runner Venture as “utility meets flair”, and customers at Orange County auto sales certainly agree. The vehicle has several unique features that make it stand out from any other SUV on the road, and makes it very attractive to 4Runner fans.

First of all, the 4Runner venture is a body on frame construction which means it is a tough and durable vehicle that can handle off-roading with complete ease. It laughs in the face of any surface, terrain or obstacle and takes it on like a beast!

Sales representatives like to point out to clientele that the vehicle comes equipped with gunmetal 17-inch alloy rims with TRD logos, which gives the 4Runner Venture a striking look. Additionally, to make it easier to climb in, Toyota has conveniently added outer steps. On top of the 4Runner is a roof rack with a cross box. It is about 52 inches by 48 inches by 6 and a half inches deep, which can make the perfect utility feature when going on camping and mountain trips.

Everybody we spoke with at Orange auto sales is impressed by the 4Runner’s 23-gallon tank. The fuel mileage is 16 mpg in the city, 19 mpg on the highway, and combined 17 mpg. Just like all the other 4×4 4Runners, the ground clearance is 9.6 inches.

The focal point of the 4Runner Venture’s powertrain is the 4.0-liter V6 engine, 270 horsepower, and 278 pound-feet of torque. It is matched with a 5-speed automatic transmission, and it has coil spring suspension on top of that. There is a kinetic dynamic suspension system (kdss) available if you want it. However, whichever option you go for really boils down to what kind of driving you want to do.

Technology

The 2020 4Runner Venture certainly does not skimp out on off-roading tools. Many customers at Orange auto sales who like to take their vehicles off the beaten track appreciate the 4Runner Venture’s robust features since it has similar features to the off-road and TRD Pro.

It has crawl control which is low-speed cruise control. It focuses on doing the work for acceleration as well as engine power but also braking while you just have to concentrate on steering through sand, snow, and rocky patches.

The vehicle also has multi-terrain select to allow you to change the five different settings based on rock and gravel, mud and sand, or rock and dirt. That being said, the Venture has some very powerful traction options for optimum control.

Furthermore, there is locking rear diff which is every 4Runner off-roaders best friend because it locks both of the wheels on the same axle so they turn at the same rate and they do the same amount of work to help you get through uneven rocky terrain.

The vehicle also has active traction control that redistributes the braking and traction based on which wheel has solid contact with the road compared to sensing wheel slippage.

In the car’s cabin, there is a newly redesigned multimedia interface with an eight-inch touchscreen with apps such as Google maps, iPhone maps, Sirius XM, and Pandora. There is a part-time four-wheel drive, and above there are off-roading tools. Also, there is a redesigned 4.2-inch multi-information display, and power-adjustable driver as well as front passenger seats. The vehicle has all four-way auto-open windows that operate simply with one touch.

There is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the 2020 4Runner model now has a smart key feature. As with most of the new 2020s, it comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense Package which includes Pre-Collision Sys w/Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams. Also, the 2020 Venture has the Star Safety System which consists of Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Brake System with EBD, Brake Assist and Smart Stop Technology.

Comfort

When you are ready to go for a ride in the Toyota 4Runner Venture, you will be welcomed with black Soft-Tex seating with red contrast stitching. The added appeal of Soft-Tex material is that although it isn’t leather it is lighter than leather and more durable over time. There is ample head, shoulder, and legroom, so nobody will complain about feeling cramped up in a tiny cabin.

Besides the generous legroom in the rear, there are also vents and two USB ports that are a new addition for the 2020 model year. The 4Runner has amazing visibility thanks to its large front windshield. SUVs often get a bad rap for poor visibility and blind spots, but that isn’t an issue with the Toyota 4Runner. Throughout the entire vehicle, you can clearly see out.

The dashboard is made out of soft-touch plastic with metallic accents that complement the black interior nicely. The front seats have good headrests that are stamped with the TRD logo. All-weather liners come standard, the center console looks to be a carbon fiber design and there is a generously sized cargo space in between the driver and passenger.

The steering wheel is equipped with everything you need while you are on the road. For instance, from the steering wheel, you can easily pick up or hang up a call, there are voice commands, radio controls for volume, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert. Also, if it is a little nippy outside, you can rest assured that you and your front passenger will stay warm with the Venture’s heated seats.

Overall

Without a doubt, before you set out for your epic adventure, a great travel companion would be a vehicle that can help you along on your journey. That is why Toyota invented the 2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture, and for that reason, we have nothing but respect for this awesome and innovative car manufacturer.
