Russian Wikinews captured exclusive media of a December 8 presentation in Simferopol, Crimea, by Russian traveler and art photographer Viktor Pinchuk.

Pinchuk has created eleven personal photo exhibitions and the officially published art album “NUances of fantasy”.

The practical guide, which includes 35 training pages and 12 optional (where aspects of the author’s creativity are described), has two versions — Russian and English; the material is posted on the international website Wikibooks.

The event was held at the I. Selvinsky Museum, located in the center of Simferopol. Pinchuk took questions from the audience, which consisted of people of all ages.

From all what has been said, the following theses can be distinguished:

The presented textbook is written in an accessible form, which allows anyone, including a novice user, to get acquainted with popular styles, genres and directions of photographic art, as well as with lesser known ones.

Each section of the methodological manual is supplemented by the author’s own photographic works, allowing the reader to become visually familiar with any of the available topics.

According to the museum’s press service, the “Interior photography in hobo tours” — an original idea of the photographer tested in practice, deserves special attention.

Author has exhaustively characterized his book:

My textbook differs from previously published tutorials created by professionals in this field, first of all, by simplicity of execution: not replete with a large number of special terms, providing a modern user (who hates long texts) with a minimum of information about genres, styles and directions of photography; the book is illustratively supplemented by a large number of examples, allowing to visually familiarize with each section.
