Do that back and forth as many times as your body allows, usually between 4 to 8 will suffice.
The third tactic you can use is by lifting in the gym and sticking to compound lifts.
In fact, it is proven that lifts like deadliest, squats and various other multi-joint lifts will raise your metabolism for days on end and actually get your body to burn fat for days on end.
You will never get that will regular traditional card or steady state running.
This is because your body will not product the same effect and chemicals that it will use to burn fat, gain muscle and ultimately producing a big metabolic effect.
